Today the new Avengers trailer dropped, first off wow. Can’t wait to take the boys to see the outcome. A part of the trailer really stood out to me, not the story, characters or pictures it was a simple quote. Robert Downey Jr said “Part of the journey is the end.” Mind blown for me, my thoughts went into overdrive on that one.
So many of us spend our lives searching for our path on the journey. We often overlook doors and roads that were placed in front of us. We don’t see or notice those who are and have always been along side of us on the journey. A lot of times that notice comes at the end of the journey, either ours or theirs.
Why can’t we look or plan ahead? We spend too much energy looking or wanting to go back. It’s really simple when you stop and think about it, we have a beginning, middle and end. Some people enjoy the middle longer than others. Watching family and friends handle loved ones wishes and demands at the end is hard, throw in when those loved ones had no end plan.
It goes back to have a successor or succession plan. Document what you want, where you want it and how you want it done. People often fight over the smallest detail simply because they feel left out or think they are entitled to more. The only thing you are entitled to is what you earn, what you work for and your journey.
Like your journey, enjoy your journey but also plan your journey. Know that Part of the journey is the end.
