One of the greatest pregame speeches came from Coach Bill Stewart before WVU played Oklahoma in the 2008 Fiesta Bowl.  “Leave No Doubt” still brings me goosebumps every time I hear it.  Coach Stew’s words came when so many felt WVU was overmatched and was going to lose.  His words, his speech and his belief in that group lead to a huge victory. We’ve all needed a Coach Stew in our life when doubt starts to creep in.

You don’t have to be wearing the Old Gold and Blue to have those words mean something to you.  All of us at some point in our life have been “overmatched”, expected to lose and felt you didn’t belong.  There’s times when you can do everything in your power to be successful and something outside of your control takes over.  Dedication and hard-work will take you far in life, but so will those words uttered by Coach Stew.

There’s roadblocks, speedbumps and obstacles placed in front of us daily.  It’s how we navigate those that help us move forward, help pick us up when we get knocked down.  We are not going to be perfect, life is not going to be perfect.  We live in an imperfect world, we live our life to find perfect moments.  The people, the memories and those moments are what makes things perfect.

We all will face something that could lead to doubt in ourselves.  Remember the words and the phrase, “LEAVE NO DOUBT”  No one is going to be better at being you!  NO ONE!  Through ups and downs, wins and lessons learned we grow.  We should only accept losing if we stop trying.  Never stop moving forward, that is the path we’re on.  So much time is spent trying to live in the past or redo something that has already occurred.

Today is your chance to find a perfect moment!  To make memories with the people that mean the most to you.  To grow in the dedication and hard-work you’ve spent time and energy on.  But also remember, LEAVE NO DOUBT that this is your day and your chance to make it your best one yet.
