Good morning! At this point I don’t know if I’ll have one person or 100 people read this. When Eric and I started this dive into InspireWV it was about trying to be a resource to help others and for that matter ourselves.
Covid happened and we saw and felt the need to do something. In turn what it truly did was bring us closer together. The podcasts were something I looked forward to. The opportunity to sit and talk, share our own stories or others stories of inspiration was a highlight.
Life, work and just a busy schedule has limited the podcasts, my blog posts and Eric and I getting to sit down and talk. I still feel inspiration and try to share a morning message everyday on my social media. But like life I often run into speed bumps along the way.
I posted something earlier in the week involving a Spartan Race photo and got a message from a great friend. It made me feel good as I often don’t hear anything along the lines of what she said. Which in turn got the wheels turning for today’s message.
You never know who is watching or who needs to see or hear what you have to say. Sometimes a smile or a simple greeting can make the difference in someone’s day. As well, the lack of a response can cause pain and doubt to cloud someone’s thinking.
Here is a great story I saw posted on social media. The message goes as such: “I ran into a guy I played football with in high school today. As he’s introducing me to his gf he says. “This is John he was the only popular kid in high school who didn’t bully me. He was actually my friend.” Just a reminder that people never forget how you make them feel.
I tell my guys often. You’re going to have a bad day, it’s part of life. Remember tomorrow starts a new day, the count resets and you get to face it at 0-0.
Don’t be afraid and don’t hesitate to send a message. To Smile! To Wave! Maybe that’s what will make someone’s day.
To a great friend, I say THANK YOU for your message this week. If you took time to read this post, others along the way or listened to an episode of the podcast I also want to send a big THANK YOU!
May your day be filled with inspiration! Go make it your best yet!
